We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst in the Funding and Investor Relations (IR) team to manage and develop further the Funding Data Warehouse, ensure data quality, and analyse data.
The objective is to temporarily support the Funding section in raising and structuring the funding needed and managing the group of banks (Market Group) the team works with. The analyst would also support the IR section in managing relationships with investors, analysing investors' behaviour, and providing research for marketing purposes. The selected person will report to the Head of Funding and IR.
The European Stability Mechanism (“ESM”) is the permanent crisis resolution mechanism for euro area countries. It provides financial assistance to Members facing financing problems, and issues debt instruments to fund this financial support.

- Further develop the Funding data warehouse, including designing, testing, and documenting
- Collect, process, and report on secondary market data and develop tools to facilitate this
- Further develop analytics tools in Matlab
- Provide research that is used for presentations and marketing activities
- Run ad hoc analyses
- Generate issuance statistics
- Prepare statistics for Market Group management
- Coordinate small internal projects
- University degree in informatics, mathematics, statistics, quantitative finance or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in a quantitative position, experience in Capital Markets is considered an advantage
- Excellent programming skills, particularly Visual Basic and Matlab
- Excellent database knowledge, ideally Microsoft Access
- General understanding of capital markets and trading
- Fluency in English, other languages considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills to interface successfully with internal and external parties

- Reliable and accurate
- Structured and organised
