Global Trading Technology Firm seeks Senior C++ Developer; C++, UNIX, Multithreading, Socket Programming-London-Circa £80,000 plus bonus and benefits
Our client is a leading global financial trading technology firm, at the absolute forefront of the high frequency & automated trading arena. With global locations across the USA, Europe, Australia, and Asia they have established themselves as a major player in the financial sector. The London office is seeking to make a key hire into their Market Data group, to perform the following responsibilities.
These include (although are not limited to): -Complete Market Data Feeds Development projects collaborating with team members located around the globe, liaising with Global Feeds Management team and taking priorities from the local Product Manager. -Full life-cycle development and collaboration with internal customers and vendors, ranging from Product Managers, Development and QA. - Work closely with Technology and Client Services to coordinate releases and support efforts. -Consulting and management of 2nd level developer support for other in-house development groups using the Market Data and Feeds Technology infrastructure. -Provide support for a live production environment in a client facing office. -The position may involve some international travel to/from the US.
Skills & competencies required: -Experienced C++ developer, with at least 4 years experience, preferably in the financial services industry, -UNIX or Linux operating system (make files and shell scripts), socket programming (TCP/IP, multicast), -Experience with Server Side Development, -Experience working in a Support environment, -Preferred skills: JAVA, SQL using Sybase and experience working in a global Agile Programming environment.
