New Live Trading Operation seeks Director of FO Risk / VP of FO Risk, London, £ 80,000–130,000
This international bank have seen the strongest and most rapid development of its bank in 2008 and 2009 and is expected to be one of the fastest growing banks in 2010 in terms of new offices, headcount, new trading lines, products and assets.
Key to this expansion is setting up of a new state of the art Fixed Income live trading floor in London.
This is expected to come on in March/April 2010 and thus the bank are interested in securing the market finest to help manage this new business.
Responsibilities:
-Develop UK risk based assessments and methodologies with quant teams,
-Develop and implement risk strategy across the business,
-Work with senior management in North America and Asia to integrate global risk framework with London,
-Manage the risk across the bank's Fixed Income book,
-Member of the Bank's Global Portfolio Risk Committee,
-Set limits for trading unit,
-Explain exposures and limits to senior traders–challenging their perception of risk where possible,
-BAuild and provide leadership to team of risk analysts,
-Part of the Global new product committee,
-Produce weekly commentary on market moves–paying attention to any adverse changes,
-Work with IT teams to ensure state of the art risk systems in place,
-Assist the Global Head of Trading/Risk on ad-hoc projects,
-Recommend hedges and measure hedge effectiveness,
-Suggest optimal trading based on forward curve analysis.
Ideal Profile:
Significant Front Office experience in managing risk from a trading, market risk or structuring background.
