Public Sector DCM Originator, London, Base £120, 000
A great opportunity on offer from a top European investment bank who are looking for a senior Director or Managing Director level Debt capital markets originator to build out the DCM desk. This investment bank has a top 5 financial institutions and corporate bonds team but are lacking in coverage on the frequent borrowers-sovereigns/ agencies and supranationals.
This is a management role and will involve the following responsibilities:
-Title is head of public sector DCM origination
-DCM coverage of government/ sovereign and supranational issuers
-Origination/ structuring and execution of high grade debt products-bonds/private placements/derivatives/loans/ MTNS),
-Coverage and business development to issuers in Europe- mainly France/Spain/Netherlands/ Italy Spain and Scandinavia,
-Managing a team of one Associate and one Vice President and given headcount to hire at liberty for the business,
-This role involves pushing forward the MTNS/ EMTNS and structured notes and developing a strong relationship between the syndicate and sales desk.
This role offers a very high base and performance bonus and would be a great fit for any senior Debt capital markets professional keen for a new challenge.
My client can only hire those with the following:
-Essential to have experience of debt capital markets public sector origination,
-Essential to have experience of Coverage and execution of primary Eurobond mandates for Sovereign, Supranational and Agency issuers,
-Good communication skills are necessary as you will be liaising daily with the Issuer, debt capital markets, Sales, Trading, syndicate and risk manager,
-My client's perfect candidate would be working on the public sector origination team- covering Scandi and European agencies and supranational frequent borrowers,
-My client would be keen to speak to anyone with a strong MTN origination/structuring background,
-Any German/Dutch or French speakers an advantage but not essential,
-My client would be very interested to speak to senior Debt capital markets professionals who have left the market to join other industries and are keen to return to DCM origination.
