JAVA Developer (Java, C++, FI/IR, Electronic Trading, JDK 1.4/1.5, multi-threading, Perl, Shell) New-York-Circa $130,000 + significant bonus package
Tier 1 Investment bank known for their pioneering approach and global remit are seeking a highly ambitious developer to take responsibility for delivering a global, reliable, extensible, high-performance and cross-product real-time trading platform. The significant growth of the area has lead to huge investment in developing varieties of real-time pricing and risk models to meet the growing business requirements in electronic market making and strategy trading. The team also develops intelligent strategy execution algorithms.
The position will require someone to work within a high pressured, fast paced environment that wants to engage with all aspects of the business.
A highly skilled technologist who can demonstrate their leadership ability and take the team forward is of vital importance.
Required skills:
-Core Java,
-Fixed Income,
-Electronic trading.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and enhance Real-Time Analytical Calculation Engine (RACE) framework.
-Developing and enhancing rates pricing and risk models, trading strategies and execution algorithms, and real-time relative value analyses.
-Work with other teams to deliver and maintain reliable and functional front-office pricing and trading applications.
-Communicate with traders directly to clarify requirements or address issues.
The person:
-Excellent team, communication and organisational skills.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to cope with rapid front-office development and to respond to and address.
Key words:
Primarily, a strong technologist in Core Java with C++ and the ability to interact with front office is most important to the client.
