Senior Corporate Credit Risk Commodities Analyst, Baar, Switzerland, Salary – £75k+ per year (dependant on experience)
Leading Global Commodities Trading House seeks Senior Corporate Credit Risk Analyst – Switzerland.
The role is at one of the world's largest suppliers of a wide range of commodities and raw materials to industrial consumers. Headquartered in Baar, Switzerland, the firm employs over 2,700 people in the worldwide marketing operations in some 50 offices in over 40 countries. The industrial operations of the group of companies directly or indirectly employ over 54,000 people in 15 plants across 13 countries.
The Role -Analyzing the financial standing and reputation of new and existing trading counterparties. -Examining, evaluating and assessing financial and business risks, and recommending credit limits and credit enhancements, where appropriate. -Monitoring existing exposure, updating financial models with the latest available financial information and making recommendations. -Creating and maintaining the credit market database with peer, counterparty and rating agency data to be used for benchmarking, financial ratio analysis and reporting. -Assisting with the preparation of credit exposure (physical and derivative) reports and liaising with the main offices with regards to overlapping counterparty exposures. -Co-ordinating with Risk Management, Treasury and Trade Finance groups with regard to portfolio / counterparty group / country risk analysis, insurance and other risk mitigating instruments. -Interacting with commercial staff members on credit risk issues in real time market conditions.
Ideal Candidate -5+ years of experience within the financial or credit analysis space at a financial institution/corporate firm or consultancy, -Strong academic background (Finance/economics), -Fluent English speaker (other language skills would be a bonus), -Excellent inter-personal skills, -Experience within commodities sector, -Motivated, driven and enthusiastic candidates.
