Senior market risk manager - Commodities - Zurich
-Base Salary – 130,000 – 160,000 CHF + bonus & excellent additional benefits
Senior market risk manager with experience of trading power, natural gas and energy related financial products required for top commodity trading house in Zurich
The firm is an energy trading company with numerous subsidiaries throughout Europe. Their trading activities are based on their own power plants, on long-term procurement contracts for power and natural gas and on projects for transport infrastructure. Their interesting and ever-changing environment is a constant challenge.
The main responsibilities for the senior market risk analyst are:
-Execution of market risk analyses for the sub-segment to be attended
-Evaluation of trade options of the sub-segment to be attended taking into account the market prices known
-Supervision of the whole evaluation process as well as coordination of group departments, documentation and presentation
-Adjustment of risk models to modified business activities and framework conditions
-Conception and further development of measurement and evaluation methods in the area of risk controlling
-Attendance of an expert area as, e.g., comprehensive risk analysis and risk management
-Participation in projects regarding company-wide risk management; if required, professional project management when implementing various internal and external projects
The successful candidate will have the following background and skill set:
-University degree with quantitative-analytical background
-Experience in the area of risk management in the financial sector or the energy market
-Good methodological competencies
-Fluency in German is highly desired
-Business-fluent English
-High level of pro-activeness
-High level of assertiveness as well as excellent communication skills
